A self-motivated result-driven entrepreneur, Vikram Handa is an experienced professional who brings his strong leadership skills in board governance, financial acumen and business strategies to review, refine and develop the strategy and direction of Epsilon Carbon.

It’s his belief in cutting-edge technology and his expansive vision that drove Mr Handa to set up Epsilon Carbon, India’s first ever state-of-the-art continuous coal tar distillation unit in Karnataka. As India’s only backward-integrated company with a dedicated source of raw materials, Epsilon Carbon has become, within a short span of five years, a leader of the Coal Tar Chemicals industry in India. Mr Handa’s keen focus on high-quality products and ethical, sustainable production has made Epsilon Carbon one of the ‘cleanest’ and most sustainable Coal Tar and Carbon Black companies in the world. His results-oriented vision is now committed to seeing Epsilon Carbon take its place among global leaders in the Coal Tar and Carbon Black industries. He is committed to developing and maintaining research and development programmes to ensure that Epsilon Carbon remains at the forefront of the Carbon and Coal Tar industries.

Mr Handa is also the founder of Epsilon Advanced Materials Pvt Ltd., which is an upcoming global supplier of synthetic graphite anode materials for use in the production of lithium-ion battery materials. Founded on the core principles of alignment with sustainable growth; business integrity; innovation and technology, Epsilon Carbon Advanced Materials seeks to become the preferred supplier of India-manufactured synthetic graphite anodes to battery manufacturers and energy storage device companies across the globe.

Mr Handa holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Mathematics degree from Tufts University, USA and began his professional journey at Aerotech World LLC, a supplier of high-quality aerospace products and supply chain management solutions to the aviation industry. He is currently pursuing an Executive Education at Harvard Business School. Mr Handa is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Saiprasad Jadhav

Director & CEO

Saiprasad Jadhav is an accomplished leader with a track record of working with high-growth chemical companies. He brings a great mix of leadership, inspiration, operational experience, technical breadth, and passion for customer care.

Mr Jadhav has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree and brings 28 years of experience of which the initial 13 years were spent as an entrepreneur. Prior to joining Epsilon Carbon, he was associated with Deepak Nitrite Ltd as President – Fine & Speciality Division.

Saiprasad Jadhav has over three decades of leadership experience in setting up and heading businesses in a diverse field of Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals, Paper, Personal Care, and other specialty chemical applications. Through the course of his career, he has managed and developed scalable businesses, with a deep understanding of the global market and enterprises’ growing needs.

Sai was an entrepreneur & founder of 2 manufacturing unit for Fluorine based specialty chemicals, Active pharma ingredients (APIs) and pharma formulations. He has also been at leadership positions of several leading specialty chemicals, Agrochemical and Pharma companies.

He possesses functional expertise in diverse functions like strategic planning, business operations, P&L management, Business Development, M&A and strategic alliances.

Tarini Jindal Handa

Director

Tarini Jindal Handa is the Creative Director of JSW Realty, the real estate arm of the JSW group. Her passion for design and quest for sustainability was the driving force behind the creation of this company. Trained in fashion and marketing, Mrs. Handa brings a fresh and innovative approach to the function and form of architecture in the Indian context. Her ability to work with both home-grown and foreign design talent helps bring an exciting change to the Mumbai skyline.

Supporting and promoting the arts is second nature to the Jindal family. Mrs. Handa brought ST+ART to Mumbai for various initiatives. This organisation aims to bring art to the people through street festivals and public installations. She is currently in the process of revamping the online, digital and media strategy for Art India, the country’s leading art magazine.

Mrs. Handa is also on the board of Victoria Mills, a museum for children and a creative hub that will be open to the public at large. Integration and inclusion are the cornerstones of Mrs. Handa’s work. To this end she is collaborating with the Mumbai Municipal Corporation to create free use of public toilets.

Mrs. Handa serves on the Boards of JSW Infrastructure, JSW Realty and amongst others.

Mohinder Kumar Singhania

Director

Mohinder Kumar Singhania has been associated with Epsilon Carbon since inception. He graduated in Chemical Engineering and has a diploma in Management. With a professional techno-commercial experience of 38 years in the chemical industry, Mr Singhania has hands-on experience in all business processes, business strategy, project execution, technology transfer, supply chain management, plant operation, developing and stabilising new businesses.

Mr Singhania has tremendous knowledge of coal chemicals and downstream products, and a good understanding of Indian and international coal tar chemical market and its dynamics. He has successfully executed several green / brown field projects from inception to commissioning.

Nirmal Kumar Jain

Director

Mr NK Jain holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has over 40 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, finance, legal, and capital structuring.

Mr Jain joined the JSW Group in 1992. His immense contributions during his tenure there included leading the Group in its new ventures such as Energy, Infrastructure and Aluminium as well as spearheading various successful assignments for their Steel business.

Mr Jain has a keen interest in management development and human resource training. He is currently the Chairman of JSW Infrastructure Limited and serves on the Board of various JSW Group Companies.

Vinod Kumar Handa

Director

Mr Vinod Kumar Handa has over five decades’ experience in the Oil and Natural Gas industry. He began his career as a field engineer with the Oil and Natural Gas Commission of India in 1971, and later moved to the UAE.

Mr Handa joined Schlumberger (Flopertol), Abu Dhabi, where he worked for five years as a field engineer. He then spent 28 years with Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority as a technical safety advisor.

He also served for five years as President of Enviro Management Corporation, MA, USA, where he set up environmental engineering businesses and co-ordination with US agencies for worldwide technology transfers for environmental projects.

He is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, USA; National Fire Protection Association USA; associate member of The Institution of Fire Engineers UK; and The Institution of Engineers, India.

Mr Handa has a Master’s degree in Science, Safety and Security Administration (Power, Gas & Oil) from University of Wisconsin, USA; Diploma in Safety Management & Engineering from University of Wisconsin, USA; and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Lokendra Jain

Director

Mr. Jain has more than 2 decades of experience and is currently the Partner & Managing Director of Marrs Blue Water & Infra PE Fund. He is also an Advisory Board Member of Sustainable Growth Management (SGM) that runs the Sustainable Growth PE Funds. He has been leading the fund formation focused on Water, Energy and Infrastructure Investments. He has also been an Advisor to the USA and India-based PE & VC platforms, a few large Corporate Companies, Startups, etc. He led Aramco's M&A, JV, and Private Equity transactions division in a large sovereign investment holding co. format. He was one of the Founding Managing Directors & Partners of the Teichos-Brookwood PE Fund. Prior, he was Co-CIO & Co-Head of Private Equity of a large SWF and principal in US-based CVC/VC platforms, including Intel Capital.

Ratan K Shah

Director

Mr. Ratan K Shah is currently works as a Coach and mentor for notable CEOs in India. In his career spanning for 40 years, he had an extensive and all-round exposure of operations, projects, maintenance, production, materials, financial, H.R. and overall profit centre Management in India and abroad. He has spearheaded and successfully implemented series of new initiatives to enhance organization competitiveness with focus on cultural change. Mr. Shah has been associated with Aditya Birla group for 40 years in various roles like; Projects, Manufacturing and General Management, Carbon Black, Cement, Steel, Aluminium, Acrylic Fibre, etc at senior and top-level roles. In his last role with ABG group he was working as GLOBAL TALENT MENTOR for manufacturing where he mentored Senior Manufacturing Professionals in the Aditya Birla group. A chemical engineer from IIT, Bombay, Mr. Shah later did his MS from University of Michigan. He is a certified CEO coach by CFI.

Bimal Goculdas

Director

Bimal Goculdas is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at DMCC Speciality Chemicals Limited (Formerly known as "The Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Company Limited") Mr. Goculdas is a technocrat with entrepreneurial spirit having deep expertise in sulphur and boron chemistry. He has been associated with DMCC for over two decades and has played a pivotal role in transforming the organisation and propelling business growth. His extensive experience pans across functions such as turnaround strategy, Business Development, Finance and Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining DMCC Speciality Chemicals Limited, Mr. Goculdas worked with companies such as Western Sugar (Colorado, USA) and Borax Morarji Ltd.

An ardent believer of sustainable development, he has steered DMCC towards zero liquid discharge operations and amongst the lowest carbon footprints in the Indian chemical industry. He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Wyoming, United States and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai.

He is also the President of the Indian Chemical Council (ICC) and on the Board of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) too. He has chaired several expert committees of the ICC, including the Sustainability committee and the Technology committee.

Desh Deepak Misra

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Desh Deepak Misra is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Epsilon Carbon Pvt Ltd. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, he is responsible for managing the operations and supply chain for the business. He began his career with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) on the Jamnagar Refinery project. Over his extensive work experience of 30+ years, he has worked with companies like Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Raymond Zambaiti Limited, Phillips Carbon Black Ltd (PCBL), Shalina Healthcare and many more. His expertise lies in managing supply chain and manufacturing operations across the FMCG, Pharma, and Chemical industries.

Mahesh Todkar

Location Head, ECPL- Vijayanagar Plant

Mr. Mahesh Todkar is the Sr. Vice President and Location Head for Epsilon’s Vijayanagar manufacturing unit where he is responsible for managing the overall business operations. With 30+ years of work experience, he has worked in diverse industries like Steel, Aluminium, Zinc, Lead, Coal-tar Chemicals, and Carbon Black. At Epsilon, Mr. Todkar contributed immensely in setting-up a greenfield project of Carbon Black, establishing Anode material business for Epsilon Advanced Materials, and enhanced the throughput in Specialty Carbon Plant (Continuous Distillation Unit) by improving overall equipment efficiency.

Pavan Trrivedi

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Pavan Trrivedi is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at ECPL. He is a chartered accounted (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a cost accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. With more than 25 years of professional experience in the Manufacturing and Service industries, he is an expert in heading business operations through financial and strategic planning, project financing, Audit, operational excellence, and new venture setup.

Rajesh Sharma

Senior Vice President, Head of Global Projects

Mr. Rajesh Sharma is the Sr. Vice President at ECPL. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he is responsible for establishing global standards and project management practices for the company. He has been instrumental in the expansion of Epsilon Carbon's growth projects in India and overseas. With over 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Sharma has worked with companies like Aditya Birla, Vedanta, Essar, Rutgers and more. His expertise lies in planning, benchmarking, analysing, governance, and defining project parameters. He ensures project completion within schedule and cost with 100% adherence to safety and quality standards.

Kanan Karuppiah

Chief Information Officer

Mr. Kannan Karuppiah is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at ECPL and is responsible for leading the digital transformation journey, aligning it with the business aspirations and strategies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. With over 20 years of work experience, Mr. Karuppiah has worked with organisations like Tech Mahindra, Wipro Technologies, HSBC, ADP, and Shell. He holds exceptional command over digital transformation, platform launches, and infrastructure modernisation. Mr. Karuppiah has won several awards throughout his career and has established a robust professional network across the vendor ecosystem, ranging from major enterprise IT organisations to start-ups.

Pratish Koparkar

Chief Human Resource Officer

Mr. Pratish Koparkar is the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) at ECPL. He holds a master’s degree in human resource management from the University of Mumbai. He is responsible for developing the people and culture strategy with a focus on organisation design, policies, processes, and compliances that are in line with business priorities. With more than two decades of multi-cultural experience across different areas of the HR function in India and globally, he has worked in organisation like Cipla, Nocil Ltd, ICI, Croda Chemicals, and Keva. He has worked extensively in the areas of leadership development, talent management, and organisational development, facilitating and building high performance culture.

Anil Sunder

Chief Supply Chain Officer

Mr. Anil Sunder is the Chief Supply Chain Officer at ECPL. He holds a master’s degree from the Xavier Institute of Management and a bachelor’s degree from Delhi University. He is responsible for the entire process and ensures efficient, cost-effective, and reliable supply and delivery of products and services. He also manages logistics – import, export and for road, rail and procurement management of raw materials, capital expenditure and revenue expenditure. With over 29 years of professional experience, Mr. Sunder has worked with companies like Vedanta, Arcelor Mittal, Danieli, ISGEC and more. He has handled raw material management for Steel and Aluminium plants. His expertise lies in global sourcing and supply chain management.

Debashish Nandi

Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Debashish Nandi is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at ECPL. An IIT graduate with a master’s degree in international business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), he is responsible for revenue generation and building customer relationships through effective planning and execution of marketing strategies that help achieve business goals. His role includes driving business development, improving the organisation’s market position, and expanding Epsilon’s presence across sectors and geographies. With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Nandi has worked with companies like RIL, Godrej Industries, and Deepak Phenolics Limited. His expertise lies in devising of pricing strategies for chemical products, sales and marketing strategies, programmes to funnel and close sales leads, developing short and long-term strategic plans including innovation strategies with P&L and budget responsibilities.

Anil Khatri

Chief Strategy Officer

Mr. Anil Khatri is the Chief Strategy Officer at Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd. He holds an engineering degree from the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Maharashtra and is responsible for developing and implementing the business strategy across Epsilon carbon portfolio. With over 19 years of professional experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Technology Licensing, Project conceptualization to execution, Sales/Marketing, R&D and New product development.

Mr. Khatri has worked with companies such as Deepak Phenolics, GTC Process Technology and Baker Hughes. He is entrepreneurial & visionary professional with expertise in formulating growth strategy across value chain with understanding of global macrotrends. He has built robust, sustainable & resilient business model competing with global peers and introduced first of its kind of breakthrough technlogies in India. He has worked in USA & Singapore and having multi-cultural experience. He has published 5 technical papers and presented more than 25 papers at events in India & overseas.
